Default Did anyone have their WLS at Magee Hospital in Pittsburgh PA?

Just wondered if anyone had their surgery there and the results?

I'm not sure about here but have you tried asking this question on www.obesityhelp.com ? They have message boards by state...maybe get some good responses there?

Good luck in your journey!

Aren't you having a lapband? There is a board that is just lapbanders... it's www.lapbandtalk.com they also have a board that is just for each state. You'll find a lot of band specific support there.

I go there daily. I'm in the NY boards. And the september 2008 banders.

I didn't go to Magee for my RYN, because I was in NY at the time. But I had a horrible time there when I was hemmorraging from my PCOS. I was told, you're fat, lose weight, it will get better. That was 1997, maybe they know what PCOS is now. But geez, for a women's hospital, I would have thought they would have known and treated me better.

Magee caught my eye.

I haven't had WLS but I also had some idiotic docs at Magee when it came to PCOS. I was dumbfounded - and this was in 2000! No, wait... 2001! Well into when met was on the scene and all... We left PA for a while and my kids were all born in CA but if I have another baby I am NOT going to Magee if I can help it.

But I thought most surgeries like this would be done at St Margaret's for some reason?
