Default Did anyone notice increased hair growth when they became pregnant?

Hello everyone.....
I am new and just became pregnant. Reading all of the information that you guys post etc...has really helped me out tremendously ! I just recently became pregnant and have noticed the hair on my face has gotten worse....I had been doing laser before I was pregnant, and it seemed under control....but when I got pregnant, watch out.....did any one have the same problem?

how far along are you, your horomons are all wacky in the very begging of pregnacy, so that could be what it is... i dont know... the begining of my pregnacey i was sick as a dog and stayed in bed the whole time

I'm a big YES! My legs, belly, booty, and face are all experiencing excellerated (sp) hair growth. I can practically grow a beard and before pregnancy it was a pluck a few dark hairs every 2-3 weeks! I hope it goes away after birth.

I've also had bad acne, but that at least seems to be letting up.

I was in a similar boat as Vanessa. My symptoms were nearly gone when I was pregnant. It's the best I ever felt. The only thing I did notice was that hair on my belly was showing up. As if a person doesn't feel odd enough already......it's so worth all of it though......even the 5 months of throwing up!! Congrats on the pregnancy!

Yes I have grown soo much hair! Even on my head I am getting loads of regrowth - now I have loads of hairs that are about 1inch long I look kind of wierd! But everyone keeps saying it will fall out! My tummy has got really hairy (not as bad as a man but worse than it was) and I swear I am growing a beard (I used to get the odd hair before nothing this bad).
So my answer is yes I am growing much more hair than I ever did before but its only really been in the last couple of months it has become really noticeable- I didnt notice much difference in the first few weeks.

This is common during pregnancy, even among non-cysters. My best friend got so much hairier during her pregnancy that she said she finally understood what I've been complaining about!

That said, my hair growth has stayed the same this time (it grew faster in my first pregnancy).

Congratulations on your pregnancy!

I didn't notice any increase during my pregnancy, but it really seemed to get worse afterwards and has continued along the more hectic growth since! Go figure!
