When I was on zoloft back in college, YES, it did make me very tired and Yes I think it was when I upped my dosage. Have you tried any other brands???

I couldn't take how tired I was. I am now on effexor xr and it's great. I can't really pinpoint any side effects, but everyone is different.

I wonder if there is a certain vitamin that zoloft depletes that causes the tiredness. I also take metformin and I take a b12 vitamin because the met depletes it. If I don't take it I get VERY tired.

Good luck to you. I'm glad you are feeling better!

Zoloft made me exhausted all of the time and I never went above 50 mg. That's why I wanted to try something different when my anxiety kicked in. I'm also on Effexor XR now and I love it, but the withdrawal is horrible and effects kick in (for me) within 8 to 10 hours after a missed dose. Zoloft withdrawal was no big deal when I went off of it. If the exhaustion doesn't resolve soon and you can't function, you might want to talk to your dr. about another medication.

Years ago I started on Zoloft 25 mg and am presently taking 150 as a transition from 100 to 200 mg. Since I usually do not get much more than 6 hours of sleep and work an ungodly boring job, I blame any tiredness on those 2 factors. I hope the increased dose does not make it any worse though.
