Default Did Clomid shorten your long cycle?

Hi everyone,

Some background--I've been on met since Jan, and on my first cycle, I o'd CD31, got pg, and m/c. I just spoke to the nurse, and she said I'm going to start Clomid the next time I start AF.

I see that a lot of women need Clomid to O. I already O, so is the benefit of Clomid for me that it shortens the time to O (if abnormally long)?

Another question--I've read that the risk of multiples is really low (5% or so). But here, it seems like there are a LOT of women who have had twins. Is 5% right, or is the risk higher?

Thanks!
Karina

Karina - I don't need Clomid to O but still don't mind taking it becuase it seems to make my ovulations a bit stronger. I don't know that it's guaranteed to shorten the time to O.

Everywhere I've read about multiples and Clomid, I read the chances were 5 to 8%, and 95% of those multiples were twins.

Thanks for responding Meghan.
I'm kind of nervous about taking it, but the outcome would be worth it. I'm just surprised he's prescribing it this early for me.
I hope everything is going well with you--your blood work is this week, right? GL with results!

My bloodwork (or at least my RPL testing appointment) is today at noon Central Time! I imagine they will draw the blood today. I'm nervous, but ready to do this.
