Question Did they do test on your DH?

My RE told us we shouldn't get pg this cycle until he can figure out what's going on. He said that if we were to get pg again right now, before he can get all his tests done, then we run the risk of another loss. So he is doing blood test after blood test. A sonohysterogram, a glucose test and a karyotype test on DH. I had a glucose test when I was pg and it came back fine. I had chromosomes tests, STD tests done when after I delivered and they came back fine. The only test that wasn't done yet was DH tests and the sonohysterogram test. Did the doctor's test your husband for karyotype? And why would the doctor tell me I would run a risk of lossing again after all these tests and the autopsy came back normal?

Thank you for your help!
Laura

My losses were all early so I don't know if it applies, but in our case all the RPL testing was done on me. Blood clotting stuff, mostly, and limited antibodies screening... there is more intensive testing that can be done but not all doctors subscribe to the theories and there is really only one lab in the country that does the testing. All that came back in my case was two copies of MTHFR and a SLIGHT elevation for one of the cardio lipid things... so I began taking baby aspirin, folgard, and prednisone.

I don't think DH ever had any testing done other than sperm count and HIV test (required if you are doing IUI in our state)

This last cycle they also gave us both a dose of antibiotics without testing for anything - just on the off chance some infection we were passing back and forth was to blame. Doxycycline, I think it was.

I am not an expert but I would THINK if the miscarriage were caused by something to do with the husband, the loss would occur much earlier... I think I would be less worried about DH being a factor in this case but like I said I am not an expert.
