Default Did you continue Metformin after your BFP?

If you took Metformin while TTC, did you continue during your pregnancy? My doctor said that if I get pregnant that he would have me discontinue use, but I have read somewhere that this may cause miscarriage. can anyone give me advice??

I continued, but then had a mc at 8 weeks. It seems to lower the risk, but the risk is always there. Now we're starting from the beginning...

My doctor says when I get pregnant he wants me to take the Metformin until 12 weeks pregnant. I have read that it lowers the miscarriage rate also.

Just curious- Is this regardless of your glucose and insulin levels?

For me too--there's some evidence that Metformin's effects on women with PCOS reach beyond regulating blood sugar levels to help with ovarian function and other things that may be abnormal in our bodies. I was never even tested for insulin resistance.
