I have been taking 2000mg of Met since June and I have lost a total of 22 lbs... I work out every morning and three additional afternoons a week.

My cousin took it for three weeks and dropped 15 lbs in that short amount of time... I guess it boils down to "different strokes for different folks"... lol

your probably gaining muscle if you are working out on a regular basis and thats why you are losing inches but not pounds. WOOT!

Since going on the met i've lost about 10lbs i've been on it for 3 weeks. But I also stick to a low carb low cal diet, I don't drink anything that has sugar in it ( bad for teeth too lol) with the exception of OJ. I think i'm eating around 140g of carbs a day and about 1300 calories. I also exercise. lots of cardio cause I have high blood pressure. I started the low carb low cal diet before going on met and have went from 320 (yikes!) to 275. Being on met has given me more energy than I have ever had.

About 6 years ago I was on Met 1000mg/day and went from 232 to 147 in 6 months. That is NOT typical but I was also on the volleyball team, high school marching band and JROTC so I was very active. I stuck to a low carb high protein diet and went from size 18 to 9.

THEN..........my old RE felt that I didn't need to be on it anymore and I gained EVERY pound back. So now I'm trying to get the pounds back off again, but it's not working like it did last time however I have lost about 16 pounds in 4 weeks and I'm content with that.

I am just 5 days in, but am losing weight. I think I have lost about 4 so far. But, my diet has changed dramatically. I no longer have major sugar cravings or carb cravings. It is also making me sick if I eat too many carbs or don't eat enough protein with my carbs. I just had pasta and boy that was the wrong thing to do. I am sure it works different for everyone, but I know my weight is dropping because I am eating so differently. Good luck to you
