Did you lose weight while on BCP?
Yes

What BCP are/were you on?
Diane 35 or Dianette

how much did you lose?
So far 13.7kgs/30.2lbs since I began taking them

How long did it take u to lose that weight?
Well I adjusted my diet to a low calorie low fat and low carb diet and exercise it started pretty much straight away.

Were/are you also on other meds?
No but I've since taken along with it: A womens mulitvitamin, vitamin B, fish oil capsules and milk thistle tablets. These help various symptoms such as skin, hair and my liver.

Were/are you doing any diets or exercising?
I'm doing a 1200 calorie, 120g of carbs and 30gs of fat a day and am managing my intake with a Nutrition and Exercise Diary from CalorieKing.com. I do half an hour to 45 mins of walking each day and sometimes pilates and yoga.

Good luck! I hope that helped, remember it may be different for anyone. Sometimes it takes a few tries to get the right BCP.

I have tried several BCP's and never lost any weight on any of them unless I changed my eating habits and was exercising. The bottom line is that there isn't a magic pill that is going to help you lose weight without changing your diet and exercising. I know, I've been down that road trying to find the pill that was going to do the work for me, but there isn't one. Even the pills that have been shown to cause a modest weight loss wear off after awhile and do not work anymore. For long term weight loss results there is no alternative to diet and exercise.

kimmykitty, did diane 35 help you with hair growth?
congrats on your weight lost.
i have seen many women use different combinations of vitamin supplements and herbal remedies. are these safe, do they have sideeffects.
i would like to try them too, for better health.

curretnly i am on strict diet control, at times i go crazy and would just love to eat, i need to lose 15lbs, and i exercise as regularly as i can.i am hoping once i too start on the bcp and maintain a healthy lifestyle, i would lose weight easily, and try to keep the weight off.
