I haven't been on in a while lots of computer problems, dog problems, and pcos problems. I went to my RE on the 29th as scheduled let me just say I felt like I was in a twilight zone. She said the 28 day spottings I was getting wass in no way a period or a start of a period. I asked her about trying some of the npcs I 've read about and she wouldn't even discuss them with me. She accused me of missing appointments which never happend as far as i was told by the nurses (at her office) She didn't want to see me. The thing that bothered me the most is when i asked her what the spotting was she had no answer. I live in northern/central NJ and I travel into Brooklyn, NY to see this RE so prior to this i had a lot of confidence. Now I'm not so sure. I have to take provera and then go and see her three weeks after the start of AF. I am thinking of getting a second opinion but don't know where, to go this is my second RE and 5th ob/gyn. Sorry this is so long,(more like a letter than a message) I could really use some advice. If any of you could suggest a doctor or maybe someone else has experienced this, please let me know. I am starting to feel like a hopeless case. |

My mantra on this foum has been this: Medicine is SERVICE industry, and if you don't like the service at your Dr's office...take your business somewhere else. Your Dr's behavior is ignorant, and inexcusable. Check the forum...there is a section where women reccommend their own doctors, and there may be some NY Dr's that can be trusted to know their p's and q's about pcos. GOOD LUCK and we're all rooting for you. Don't give up!

They get a little too comfortable with your case, and they tend to write things off a little easier. Don't you dare give up on this! Anything other than a normal AF just isn't always right, and you deserve a doctor's attention. Find one who will give you what you are paying for, darlin. Sorry if this sounds like a rant, it's just that I've been where you are, and sometimes I think they ought to go back and re-read their Hippocratic Oath...they swear to relieve suffering, not to decide who is suffering enough to warrant their attention.

Points: 470.00 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 470.00 | didn't know where to post this but... Thanks to all of you for your support and encouragement. I am so glad I joined this website. I finally feel like I have people to relate to. With that said some encouraging news came my way . As of Tuesday April 6 , my mother made a call to the ob/gyn that delivered me almost 29 rs ago. (can't believe he's still in practice but he is) Turns out he wanted me to come in since over the past few years he has been dealing with PcOs patients. I went and he is staring me on clomid along with the Metformin. He wants to try that approach first since it had a proven success rate. We also dicussed Ovarian drilling. I'd like to get some of your opinions on that as well. AS of now I just statred taking my Provera to bring on an Af then I will begin the clomid with Metformin. Thanks to all of your support and my mom's I am gonna keep pursuing my goals . I wish you all the best of luck and health. |
