Unhappy didn't O on clomid and no period after provera or progs. shot

I was on 100 mg of clomid and didn't ovulate. It was 0.2 when they checked it. They said they had Never seen that happen on clomid. Then the gave me provera and it didn't work. They did a ultrasound and said everything looked good so they gave me a prog. shot thurs. What could be wrong? Why can I have a period. I had a m/c in June and I think I am still not right from that. I have had 2 period since then but nothing since sept.9 Preg. was neg. Can any one help me? I just don't know what to do any more. I started on metformin500mg 3 times a day. oct.3 so i hope it might help. they uped my clomid to 150 but i haven't got to take it yet.

They've never seen a low prog. rating after Clomid???? I don't believe it since it happens all the time!!!!

If you do not ovulate your prog. will be low, low,low so don't worry about that aspect. Mine was never over.3 unless I ovulated. It took me 150mg. of Clomid to get there with my second child so.., hang in there!! The prog. shot does take a while so check when they gave it to you. Did they ever check your prog. level before you miscarried? You may mention it for the next time since some of us may need prog. support early in the pregnancy. I know I did!! Best wishes. I hope you get all your answers soon!!

Heather,

I know you posted this ages ago but I just wondered how things had turned out for you as the same thing has just happened to me. I was on 100mg of clomid, didn't O so took Provera and AF didn't come. And I don't know why. Did you have a period eventually?

Smile I did start my period

I did finally start my period. It took 10 days after I had the prog. shots. They told me that some woman didn't ovulate is why it does work. If you are over weight it takes clomid and the other things to work. They also said some women are going trough the change of life, but that is almost unheard of in 40 and under. I'm sure you will start soon. It had me really upset to go that long with out a period. I did ovulate this month on clomid and my period came on day 30. That is great for me. Good luck. If there are any other questions you can email me. tkamisato@msn.com

Default I forgot go to add something

I did start on metformin 1500mg in Oct. I think it has really helped me with my periods. I have even lost 17 pounds. Have you been on it long? They told me it takes about 6 weeks to really start working.

Heather,

Thanks for responding. I've been on Metformin for two months now and haven't had a period since my son was born over 7 months ago. There is no chance of the Provera working. I've taken it twice now and neither time has it brought on AF. So I am worried though my gyno doesn't seem to be.

Question How late are you

How late are you this month? It took me 45 days to start my period. They did have to give me the prog. shot to get it going. I don't know why the provera didn't work, because it always did before. Your metformin might just be kicking in. I don't think it is uncommon not to have one after a baby. My little boy is 3 and it took me a good year to get straighted out. If you are breast feeding that might be another thing. I hope you start soon. Good luck.
