Can I take any appetite suppressants, etc. while on Met? Has anyone had any experiences with this? I feel like I need just a little extra help to try to fight cravings. I also have heard that certain cold medicines can raise your blood sugar. So would this mean that I would need to take a diet aide without psuedoephedrine in it? Thanks for your help!

I am wondering the same thing. My Doctor prescribed Phentermine for me this week and I have yet to pick it up as I am afraid I may get addicted to it. That is one of the side effects. I just started to build up to 2000mg of metformin. I am at 500mg now. I would love feedback too on this subject.

i´ve had very good results with hoodia gorgonii, a cactus in the kalahari said to have no side effects. it is a good appetite suppressant and completely natural. you might want to check out ebay.com. i buy 40 grams for 20 Euros and it lasts me 6 weeks.

I just started on Bontril (phendimetrazine) and the dr knows I take Met. I only agreed to take them after asking the dr and the pharmacist to ensure there were no interactions. The dr said I need to check my blood sugar EVERY DAY because it can get really low with the combination of the Bontril and me eating a lot less. You should definitely talk w/ your doctor before starting any type of other medication (appetite suppressant or other medications ) whether it is prescription or not. Or, at the very least, ask the pharmacist if there are interactions because mixing meds can have deadly consequences if you are not careful.
