Default Dietary supplements D-chiro-inositol (DCI)

I know the internet is not always the best source of accurate medical information but I read on a search of PCOS on Wikipedia that there is a dietary supplement called DCI that shows some promise in the treatment of PCOS. Has anyone else heard of this or tried it?

I have heard about it, but would love to learn more. It sounds promising!

Hi Ladies! I haven't tried DCI myself but if you read this thread:

DCI - D-Chiro-Inositol and WOW!!!

You'll read the stories of many women who did. Also, some women find that trying regular inositol works for them as well and it is cheaper. I just started taking inositol myself this week, so I can't tell you yet if it's the miracle pill we've been waiting for. There's one lady who got pregnant on it! You can read more about it on this thread:

Inositol for PCOS (not DCI)

May I ask what you're symptoms are? I hear inositol and DCI are good for weight loss and stabilising your blood sugar but I'm not sure what they can do for thinning hair or (moderate) acne (which are my symptoms).

Do lots of reading! You can always do a search on this board by using the 'search' option in the menu on top.
