after looking into hair removal I realize there is a huge price difference in IPL and actual laser hair removal. has anyone had better luck with one or the other!!!
IPL- $150 for full face
LHR_ $500 full face

thanks, I just checked it out, but it really wasn't very helpful in explaining which would be more effective. I did see the burn pic. and it looks really horrible!! Now I know I'll only go with someone with medical training and certification.!!!!

I really don't think you're going to get an answer to that question - just look at these boards and you can see that every single person tends to react differently to hair removal methods.
You might just want to bite the bullet, so to speak, and try it. Generally all places will do a patch test first, so you will have some idea of the pain and skin reaction.
I had IPL in 2002 - what a waste of money. I had my 6th laser treatment yesterday - I am THRILLED with the results. Still have a stubborn spot or 2, but the reduction is amazing. Spend the extra on the laser IF you're a serious candidate for it. My fair skin and dark hair is probably why I'm having such great results.
I'm really leaning toward the laser. I also have light skin and dark hair, I also spoke with the center and I was told that IPL is basically like flashing a strong light on your skin and that it iwll not be very effective .

Iam currently paying $150 for Laser on my face. I had one IPL treatment (not as effective) and was charged $300. Guess some people out their are keen to cash in on our pain and rip us off. I am very happy with my progress on the laser
I had my first IPL treatment yesterday, my test patch was done about 2 months ago and I have had no new hair growth in that spot. I have not had laser done. I use the plastic surgeon who did my breast reduction for my treatments. I will be sure and let everyone know how well it works long term. My neck, chin, side burns, upper lip and other stray areas were done. It took 66 pulses.
