Default Differences in period..?

Hi I'm hoping what I'm about to post isn't too much info!
After not having a period in 2.5 years I had one about 5 weeks ago, then 11 days ago i had another (while taking Yaz) - I had a few light cramps and the blood was brown for the whole time (7 days) it was quite light.

It didn't actually stop but after those 7 days it was time to start taking the sugar pills (Yaz - 1st month on this) - my period continued but the blood has all been red and quite a lot heavier..

I'm wondering if anyone know's why this is? I mean it was a sudden change when I started the sugar pill.

Thanks

Default

It has been a looooooooooooonnnnnngggggg time since I experienced this, but I do remember this happening to me when I first when on the pill almost 20 yrs ago (when I was 22, at which point I'd only had about 10 periods in my whole life, if it was even that many).

In all those years since I've occasionally had a cycle that was very light and mostly brown. For many years in my 20s I had lots of big clots.

I'm wondering if there are any other cysters out there around my age (41) who are finding that lately AF is very, very light. I'm still on the pill, and for about 10 years now I've taken the pill continuously for 3-4 pill cycles so that I only have AF a 4-5x/year. For the past year it's been very very light, sometimes just spotting for a few days. My gyn said not to worry and that it's not a sign of menopause. Curious if others are experiencing this?
