Well, first, I was diagnosed with PCOS quite awhile ago, and military doctors basically told me to bugger off, and that it wasn't worth waisting thier precious time, ect. Then my PCOS just kept getting put on the back burner... I'm about to goto a doctor and well am trying to get some information to figure out whats going on in case my general doctor doesn't know a thing about PCOS.
First question... where the heck are your ovaries, I mean I get the general idea, but if you had to describe where they are so that a person thats getting pain would know where they are how would you describe it? Which leads to...
Second Question.... I've been getting pains in the lower stomach more on the left side-ish area, sometimes I get them on the right, it's kinda middle side-ish... they are kinda like a type of cramp, sometimes like a stabbing pain thats not too bad... (I have major back problems so nothing is that bad compared to it)
Third Question... All the sudden a little bit after the pains/cramps started I have been peeing ALOT. Like I went from someone who got up maybe three times a week to go once in the middle of the night to going about five times between 10pm and 6am. I had read where you can get really large cysts on your ovaries, could they be pushing on my bladder?
Fourth Question... anyone out there low carbing it? Anyone that could give me some ideas on food thats good for cholesterol, but low carb? I was going to start low carbing it with hubby again, but he just got diagnosed with high BP, and borderline high cholesterol... They gave him this diet thats got him eating so many grains, fruits, and stuff, but I can't eat that way, first I have a problem digesting veggies, basically my tummy dont like that, second I can't loose weight period, unless I go REALLY low carb, and no other diet works, but I dont want to put hubby at greater risk...
Have you taken a PG test? It kinda sounds like you could be.

Maybe I should... it's just that well, the very thought of me being pregnant is so foreign to me that it never even crosses my mind. I guess I could take a preg test... it's just that a few times I've had all the signs and ended up crushed when I wasn't... hubby and I have been together for four years, have never used BCP's and nothing So I just dont consider my getting preg an option... guess I'll add that to my shopping list just in case.

When I had a large cyst in my right ovary, it hurt all over. The ovaries aren't stationary. They move around quite a bit in there so you might have a large cyst in one of your ovaries and because it's moving around so much it feels like there's something going on in the whole region. And, the pain from a large cyst can knock the breath out of you!
As for the diet...I have no advice for you there. I wish that I did...

I know how that feels to pee on that stick and not get a postive. Me a hubby have been together for 9 years and no protection for 5 years and the other years on and off of BP and nothing. Well I hope if you do test you get those wonderful pink lines!! And if no I would go see the doc and get a internal ultra sound to see how your ovaries are doing. All the best to you!!
