i wondered if anyone can give me some help and advice.
I went to the Dr's today to discuss meds as i was diagnised with PCOS in April.
My symptoms are irregular periods- about every 3 months, High LH levels- LH/FSH 3:1 and cysts on my ovaries.
My Dr is now refering me to the gyno for a second oppinion as my ovaries are not enlarge so dont have the size charchteristics (spelling sorry) of PCOS.
Surely with my symptoms it has to be??
I have been tested for everything else such as throyd etc.
What are your oppiinions and what will happen at my gyno appt as i have never seen a gyno before??
Thanks for all your help
xx

Have you had other tests done? Like IR test?
I am under the impression, as i am new to pcos also, that there are several symptoms, but not everyone displays all of them and not everyone displays the same symptoms. In saying that, are there any other symptoms you have?
I've not had IR test but i have suffered for several years on and off with depression which could not be hormone related. My Dr has been very good so far but perhaps she feels she need to refer me to someone who can give me more answer's. She did tell me to go armed lith a list of questions an be firm and stuborn and not to let the gyno fob me off.
I'm just a bit concerned now, if they want a 2nd oppinion, if it's not PCOS then what is wrong with me?
Like i said i've never seen a gyno so what will happen? My Dr said they will have access to my u/s report and my blood work report.
Still confused.?...

god ur head must b wrecked,if u r still confused write all de Qs u want 2 ask nd bring dem along wit u 2 ur gyne app nd dont worry about dat app its just de same as a doc app except ul get more answers, all de best nd let me no how u get on
well, a woman doesnt have to have cysts on the ovaries to have pcos. Hope your gynae appointment goes well. Im in the uk, too and i see an endocrinologist (hormone dr) about my pcos.
what id suggest is to write down everything that you want to ask/say to your dr so you dont forget.Thats what i always do welcome to sc.
