No. Not even close. It sits very low in your canal, and you might find that you wan to trim the stem off the end of it, I keep meaning to trim mine and forgetting. I'd highly suggest trying it out pre-AF. Getting it wet with warm water helps, or if you need it, a tiny bit of KY can make all the difference, especially when you are trying it out beforehand. I've been using mine for 5 months now, and loving every minute of it. If I can help you any more, please don't hesitate to ask

It suctions into the vagina but not like a MAJOR suction, just enough to stay in without slipping. The muscles hold it in place and so does some suction. If you put it up too high it can leak and be uncomfortable.
It's weird...the first couple times I wore it, I was aware of it a lot, not that it was painful or annoying, but different than a 'pon, but I quickly got used to it. And I never had a leak at all, although I always wore a pantyliner with it because when you change it, you might get a little blood on your, um, parts.
Read the directions thoroughly when you get it. I've also heard the customer service is awesome. And trim that stem if it's not comfortable...once I cut the stem off, it was totally comfy.
I have been using the insted cup that just goes over the whole cervix, but had some leakage and I wanted something that was reusable .

Yup yup, then the Divacup is for you! Ammarrah's suggestions were perfect, all things I learned by trial and error. I personally don't have to wear a pantiliner, I have managed to get it down to an art of how to remove it w/o spilling a drop. Still grosses out DH like you can't imagine. My opinion is though, its a lot less icky than some other options!! Hope you like it
Yay, another Diva Cup user! I agree with trimming the stem off. The first time I wore mine and sneezed I was in some pain! LOL
Also, about the suction, the first few times I tried taking it out there was enough suction that it hurt a bit. I finally figured out that once I pulled it low enough I needed to pop my fingertip over the edge of it to break the seal. It came out much smoother after that!
I also wear a pantyliner with mine. I haven't had problems with leakage, but I'm beyond paranoid so I use the liner to ease my mind. Good luck, I can't wait to hear what you have to say about it once you use it!
