Default Dizziness?

Does anybody noticed they are really lightheaded or dizzy when taking Glucophage? I have bascially laid on the couch most of the day because everytime I move around I feel so dizzy. I feel like my head is in a cloud. Grrrrrr....

Sometimes the dizziness can be caused by being dehydrated if you are having diarhea from the met. If not, make sure you are eating enough because you can feel weak and lightheaded otherwise. I made that mistake at the beginning when met took my appetite away and I almost fainted. I'm not saying you have to overeat of course, but make sure you are eating regularly. If you are doing all this and the feeling persists, I think you should see your doctor.

I also had many dizzy spells with metformin., 1000mg. I started it back in August, and immediatedly started experiencing fatigue and muscle pains. By the middle of September, though, I began to have dizzy spells, quite a few everyday. It made my days extremely hard, cuz I'm in college and walking to classes everyday became a huge burden. Everything got so bad, I just had to stop taking it. Hopefully your Dr. can help you and possibly let you replace it with something else, if there IS something else. Good luck!!
