Angry Dizziness and disorientation

Hello everyone,

I'm new on this site but I'm already impressed with the sheer level of support and information that it offers.

I have been diagnosed with PCOS for the last 11 yearsbut it is only in the last 2 or 3 that I have learnt about insulin resistance, diet and so on. I lost nearly 4 stone a year and a half ago and felt much better (unsurprisingly! Duh!). I lots that through the insulin resistance diet. Plus I am gluten & diary intolerant which kind of helps a bit. (Until someone showed me gluten free range of cakes - I spent the last year eating pure sugar basically!)

HOwever, I have had weird feelings of disorientation, dizziness, blurred vision, dry eyes and weakness recently. LAst year I had a few attacks of vertigo from nowhere (never had that before).

I am now not driving very much in case I am a danger although I have always managed to pull over safely if I have a panic attack and I have never had vertigo when driving, just this sense of disorientation and eye weirdness.

I have put some weight back on in the last year due to giving up smoking and I can notice a lot of symptoms come back. I've noticed a few other posts about dizziness. I relate to the feeling of getting up with a "falling over hangover". Does anyone think these things are related to the last year of eating too much sugar? Has anyone else experienced this but found a way of getting rid of this feeling like your head is looking at everything through a bowl of water?

Sorry this ended up being avery long message - I'm a bit wafty in my style at the moment!

Many thanks,
Messy Hair xx

Default ME TOO

I've been feeling off balance, dizzy, blurred vision, feeling like I'm in space, blurred vision.

I just found out I have PCOS so I haven't had a chance to talk to my doctor about it yet.

Have you found any info on it yet?

Hi Anntronett,

I only know the same kind of thing that the FAQ on PCOS states on this site. The essential reading section of this website is really good, and I would reccommend you have a look if you haven't already.

Sorry to hear you are suffering the same.

Many GP's are becoming more aware of this syndrome now and I'm sure you will find support from them. If not, let us or someone else know and we or they can help you find the support and information you need.

Anyway, hope today is treating you well,

take good care
love Sarah

Default Meant to say

Hi again Antronnett

I meant to say in my last post - if you go to the Newbies Start Here section at the home page of this site, that should tell you far more than I can! I am still learning about Insulin Resistance and all that stuff.

Hope that helps,

Sarah
