Default do fertility monitors work for Met users?

I'm tired of using OPKs and am considering getting one of those fertility monitors like the Clear Blue Easy Monitor...to track when I'm most fertile but I'm wondering if they work when you're on a medication like Metformin. The information says to check with your doctor when taking a fertility medication (like Clomid) because it may skew results on the monitor...and I know Metformin isn't traditionally considered a fertility medication so I'm wondering if it might have the same effect or not.

Anyone else ever used one of those monitors and had success?

If OPKs work for you, then CBEFM should work.. I used it and it never failed me and was on Met and clomid.. My OB actually told me to get one since OPKs worked for me and I didnt have elevated LH levels..

Mine works perfectly. It has never been wrong and I also was charting and doing P4 test to confirm. Basically, they say as a disclaimer that it MAY not work for PCOS'ers. Thats just because SOME ( i would even say monority) of PCOS women have permanetly elevated LH levels so their OPKs would always be positive even when they dont ovulate. For many, including myself, my OPKs were more often than not negative till ovulation and i get 2 days of +OPK.

So I suggest, try OPKs if you havent, and if you typically get a negative to indiacted you arent ovulating and only get a + when you are ovulating then the CBEFM should work for you. Check the ttc section and there is a buddy thread for CBEFM users..
