Mary, it sounds like you have alot of the symptoms and if your endo diagnosed PCO, i would probably assume that you do. did they talk about putting you on meds to treat this~Glucophage/Metformin??? anything else?????

No he didnt , he just put me on ortho tri cyclin and spiro for 6 months( i was complaining about hair on face and cramps from period) and now he switched me to yasmin only.He also ask me to switch to a gyne. since he wanted to make space for women with fertility issues only He was my endo. while trying to get pregnant and also kept my physicals with him since I was already going there to begin with. ) Should I make an appt. with a endocrinologist or just go to my gyne. 1 time a year for a physical? is there dr.s who specialize in this only?thanks for answering me.I wish I knew why removing the overies wouldnt end all the aggrevation of this!!!!! mary

I see my gyn and gp for my PCO~i know that alot of women here go to endo's...i guess its a matter of personal preference and where you can find help. i happen to have an awesome gp who originally diagnosed my PCO, luckily i actually go into to see my doctor's like once a month right now, but i am early on in my treatment of this. i asked the question about removing the ovaries or having a hysterectomy, but they assured me that the PCO problems would still be there good luck in figuring this all out~it sure is a learning process!
