Default Do these sound like typical Met side effects to you?

Hi -

I started Met last week again, and increased my dosage from 500 to 1000 mg/day a couple of days ago.

I have diarrhea, which I expected from last time. I hate this side effect. I am also really, really exhausted. Like I want to sleep all the time, and I have no motivation to do anything. I worked out today, and I feel better, but just getting to the gym was so hard. I had to have a nap before I went, and I didn't want to get up. I don't remember this feeling from last time (I was on 1500 mg).

Oh yeah, and I have loss of appetite. I'm still interested in eating some stuff, but not like usual. I haven't eaten since breakfast today and I don't really want to, even though I have my favourite food (spinach and tofu lasagna) sitting in the fridge.

What are your experiences with Met side effects?

yup those side effects sound familiar.I've been on 1500mg of Met since aug/05and I still have large bouts of tiredness and diarrea.I hope you are taking b12 as well or at least a good multivitamin.Met depletes b12 so you should make up for it.It might help withyour side effects.

Hmmm... I'm taking Jameson brand prenatal. Would that have enough B12 in it? I didn't know about the B12 thing. Thanks.

I don't remember being this tired last time. I must be glossing it over in my memory. lol

This is the end of my first week on Met ever. I've experience some fullness in my stomach and increased BM. The first couple of nights, I was a bit nauseated.

Yep, all there for me too. The tiredness is what really gets to me the most. I could sleep 24/7 in a deep coma like sleep I'm so exhausted. It has gotten a little better and hopefully in another few weeks it will be gone completely.

When I was going through the Met side effects it really helped to take an anti diarrhea pill, that's how I got through it. It does pass, just hang in there it is totally worth it!
