My RE put me on Prometrium to give me a period since I haven't had one since September - normally I get physical symptoms that AF is coming - sore b's and backpain but I haven't had any of those yet and I'm almost done with the Prometrium. Just wondering if I can tell in advance that it's working.
i get af within 4 days of my last pill. i love how quickly it works, but i hate the zit breakout i get from it!!! as far as symptoms knowing af is coming, well, i never really get too many symptoms to start with, but i guess light cramps and brown spotting beforehand. my prometrium induced af's have been quick coming and quick going away!!! they start out heavy and end very light.
For some reason, prometrium never worked for me. I would get cramps and bloating...and then nothing. I had to go on Birth control to get my regular periods back. Good luck!

I take 200mgs of prometrium for 10 days and on the 11th day my back and side start to hurt and then I get a little light spotting and then by 12th it is full blown AF! Cheers! I begin my 10 days tomorrow!
I came to this board to ask this question. I've done prometrium before, but don't remember how long it took after the 10th pill. I'm 5 days past the last pill and am slightly crampy, very sore and bloated...I wish there was something I could do to just bleed already! Any tips?
Do you get signs of AF with Prometrium?
