Lightbulb Do you have hayfever?

Hi everyone,

I read an article on the BBC website about a possible link between allergies and irregular periods (PCOS mentioned). Researchers are considering the possibility that insulin resistance can affect asthma and allergies.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/4579357.stm

I don't suffer from allergies but I found this really interesting and I was wondering if anyone else has personal experiences or has heard of a link? Is this well-known? Because I'd never heard of it before.

Alex

p.s. I also posted the full article in the 'Media Sightings' forum.

I do have allergies and asthma, and I think they are worse when my PCOS is worse. Hmmm, interesting connection!
