Red face Do you have heartburn/reflux on Met?

I've been on Met for a year now, 1000mg twice a day. I've never had issues with heartburn/reflux, but since I started taking it every time I lay down I get it really bad. I have a bottle of pepcid at my bedside because I always get it. I have tried propping up my pillow more, but even when I'm lounging on the couch, I have it, and it hurts...bad!!

I'm not sure if this is something I should see a dr. about, or if it's just a side effect of the met...anyone know?

I get heartburn frequently now. Not a bad case of it, but definitely more than before Met.

I have horrible heartburn since taking Met.
Doc said it will subside after taking Met for awhile.
Just stick to it!
Hope you feel better soon!

I've been on it for over a year now though....you would think that would be long enough for my body to adjust.

No problem...I'm about to buy stock in Pepcid because it's the only thing that works for me, I really do have to take it on a daily basis.

Hi Girls i am not certain but i think high oestrogen levels can cause heartburn. Thats why some women get it in early pregnance (and all throughout but during latter stages its a combination of increased Oestrogen and the bump squashing everything up!).
I have very scant and irregular periods at the moment but am trying to note down in a diary when i get heartburn as i am sure it is always around the time of my period. I havent had a periiod now for 83 days but just this last couple i have sore boobs and had heartburn today so am expecting a bleed soon. Fingers crossed!

Just thought i would share my opinion and thoughts with you all!
Jessica.

I never connect the two, but my heartburn has been BAD! I quit coffee and smoking. I can't cuddle after dinner. I have been taking ginger and it does help a little bit.
