Huh...I always thought my breasts seemed a bit (or a lot) different that what I saw from other women. Very interesting stuff to think about...thanks for bringing this to attention!

Spiro is supposed to build up breast tissue, and that is the most common side effect of spiro. Some women have surgery to correct any uneveness or such.
I'm pretty sure i do...i looked at some pics but couldn't find anyone with breasts as big as mine (DD54) but from the description i would say most likely. One breast (R) is DD and the other used to be between B and C cup. I remember when i was getting fitted for my wedding gown, the lady in the lingerie shop was astonished by the difference in size...she said she'd never seen anything like it. They are pendulous and longish (i figured due to loss of elasticity after breastfeeding because they used to be so firm even at almost 300 lbs i didn't need to wear a bra at night!)
I had difficulty getting an ample supply of milk when i had my daughter. They took her to the nursery right away and it was 4 days before i put her to breast. I dont think i ever got engorgement. Hard to tell though because they were always big and tender (due to water retention and so many fiberadenomas). She was born at 6pm and i didn't start pumping until the next day at noon. I breast fed once or twice per day (pumping and bottle feeding the rest of the time) and continued breastfeeding until she was 10 weeks old when she suddenly refused the breast. I pumped every 2 to 4 hrs until she was 3 months (mixing with formula) and even took domperidone to help with supply issues. at one point i could get 2 oz from my right breast every 4 hours but the average was about 1 oz from right and 3/4oz from left.
The funny thing is (and maybe TMI) I still have breast milk and she is almost two and a half! seriously...the supply changes based on my menstrual cycle. at a certain point in the month i can't take the pressure anymore and have to express milk. I literally can get a spray and then a stream of milk from either side. I doubt i could get half an ounce from both breasts combined...so i can't understand why its so painful.

Oh wow wow wow... thank you for this link... wow i really do have pcos then... all through my adolescence I suffered when I looked at my floppy little breasts with larger than normal nipples...
Also, when I started yas they filled out a bit... very noticable but still tiny... has anyone else had this reaction?
I wonder why no one diagnosed me, then.
Guess it depends on how often your doctor sees your boobs, doesn't it? I know no doctor has seen me bare chested since I was seen by a pediatrician, and even then I must have been like, nine years old. And doctors only tend to notice things that you bring up to them. If you've never said, 'hey, are my boobs supposed to look like this?', then he/she has probably never thought to look at them.
(Personally, I've been getting up the courage to ask just that- is this normal, and if it's not is there anything I can do about it)
It's funny, all the rest of the stuff that's wrong with me- impossible to lose weight, hairy all over, thinning hair, acne, depression, social anxiety- and it's my boobs (or lack of them) that cause me the most grief. It's a little comforting to know that people have small and oddly shaped boobs besides me, but it still doesn't keep me from being frustrated that besides it being a problem to find the right bra *size* (you try finding a 42A. I dare you), even if I did it wouldn't look right because I'm the wrong *shape*.
I am a very large women with small breasts too. It is very hard to find a fitting bra. I usually have to by the ones that look like sports bras because i need them to be 45 or higher around with a B cup. Not easy to find!

As you can see by the poll having hypoplastic breasts does not mean you have PCOS and vice versa. I doubt if even 1/10 of all women in the US with hypoplastic breasts are ever told by a doc.

I know what you mean! It's ridiculous looking for bras, so I have to squeeze into a 38NB instead of the 40A I should be in. :/ I'm huge and I have the smallest breasts in the world.

I've always been large-chested...I was a B-cup in second grade and skinny as a rail! I haven't actually been told they are tubular...but they are pendulous and I do have fibrocystic breasts. I was a 42DD for both of my first pregnancies...no real changes to report. I was unable to breastfeed both times. This time, I've jumped to a 46DDD, and they hurt like the dickens, so hopefully I'm a late-bloomer and my body has finally decided to get in gear!! I would absolutely love to be able to finally breastfeed one of my children! I had milk with DS...just not enough. I had it with DD, but I panicked and put her right on formula. DS had ended up back in the hospital at 5 days old and I did not want a repeat performance with DD. So I'm hoping I have the courage to get past the marathon feeds this time and really give it my all and exhaust every avenue before I finally throw in the towel. I did have a LC give me an article on BFing and PCOS when I was having trouble with DS...she was basically no help, though. In a nutshell, she told me to give up because women with PCOS apparently "can't" BF. I didn't know what I know now, so I gave up when DS was 8 weeks old. I was only giving him about an ounce a day anyway.

I have one that is slightly bigger than the other. Upon studying them this weekend I found that I think they are actually very close in size. The difference lies in their "texture". For the smaller, perkier one, I can feel lots of tissue and glands. For the larger, saggier one, I can't really feel anything. It just feels like skin and fat to me. When I measured them, they are only 1/2" different, but when you look at them side by side, it looks a lot worse than that.
I've also made the conscious decision to rock the flat-chested look. No more of wishing or trying to be someone I'm not. Many beautiful women have small breasts and don't try to hide it...just look at Paris Hilton and Kiera Knightly for example. I do wish, however, that they were the same. Anyone have any tips on how to tighten up the big one or stretch out the small one?
Best you can do is buy a bra where the cup fits the larger, and pad the smaller. There's no much you can do as far as 'fixing' it, not without surgery. And for a 1/2", that's probably a bit drastic.
I didn't know there was a name for it. I thought I was just weird. :
Wow..this sums up my thoughts on the issue...
I knew mine weren't normal-I just didn't know it had a name!
Mine are the same shape and size but flat and far apart and they look exactly like the pictures I just googled.
GREAT...
i had no engorgement or milk with my first two children. For my third I started to leak small amounts at around 36 weeks so I was really excited and I tried to B/F. Well we ended up at the hospital with a jaundiced baby because even thought I had some it wasn't enough, and no amount of pumping or drugs changed that.
