Do you know a good gynecologist in Toronto?

Do any of you know a good gynecologist in Toronto who you would recommend?

I've had referrals to two different doctors but they both refused to consider treatment possibilities other than birth control pills and they didn't take the time to answer my questions. I was told that I would only be given metformin if I was trying to get pregnant. One doctor actually made me cry.

I'm probably slightly more demanding than other patients, but I have a lot of questions, and am really trying to get a handle on my PCOS. I understand how busy doctors are under our Ontario system - but I'm tired of not feeling respected by them.

Any names of doctors or names of clinics would be appreciated. Thanks!

(I considered posting on the 'find a doctor' board, but those are mostly U.S based questions - I thought I'd get a better response here).

You may wish to check out the sticky on the top of the Canadian forum See here for recommendations.
Other than that you might want to see an endocrinologist rather than a gynecologist to treat symptoms if you are not currently ttc. If you are living in T.O. there are many options including the PCOS clinic that are available to you.

Dr.Gysler is in Mississauga at the isis fertility treatment, when he talks to me he never says i wont get pregnant he always say's "then when your pregnant" which gives me hope not like Dr.Korbie in Mississauga who said " oh you have nothing come back and see me in six months".

So try him he is very respectful and listens.
