do you know how many milligrams of metformin it takes to correct the problem of insulin resistance? I realize I should be asking this in the metformin section, but I thought it would be worth a shot. I never lost weight on WW before, even eating whole grains, but this time I've been on it for about a week and I'm already noticing slight changes...not coincidently, I am also on 1000 mgs of Metformin ER. I'm wondering if I will have to continue to increase my dose of metformin in order to lose weight.
I have another question about IR--after you are able to lose enough weight, will the problem correct itself or is it a lifelong battle?
Thanks.
