Oh my gosh, my best friend is always yelling at me telling me to stop shaving my arms. Here I thought I was the only one! LOL I do, I have to shave them everyday and I hate it. If you have the money and you haven't started shaving them yet, I say go with waxing. It's no more painful than having anything else waxed and it has to be much more convient on a day to day basis. My hair grows back so quickly that my arms are prickly by the end of the day and I usually get little red bumps from shaving so much.

I shaved my arms when I was younger, but I don't anymore. I just leave it be, it doesn't bother me as much as it used to.

I don't shave my arms for some reason the hair there doesn't bother me at all. It seems like everyone of my friends has arm hair to some degree. I guess I just always thought it was normal. However I do wish instead of shaving my face I would have waxed now there's no way out of it.

It seems that it is pretty equal of shaving/waxing vs no shave. i still am pretty undecisive. it really seems like a tough choice. i remember when i decided to start shaving my face. it is just such a commitment which scares me!!! thanks for the input i am so blessed to have you cysters!!

waxing the arms, to me, doesn't hurt at all. it takes about 10 seconds.. i go to a great lady and she does the strips quickly and and in rapid succession. then it takes weeks and weeks before it grows back, and always looks less noticeable. you have surprisingly few nerve endings in your lower arms i guess because waxing there does not bother me at all. usually only have to do it every couple of months. i highly recommend waxing the arms if you can find someone good to do it. the trick is.. she uses a roll-on waxer instead of wasting time with goopy wax & stick application. the place i go to is outside of chicago, which is where my family lives so i visit often.

    muuuuuch better than shaving constantly.

you don't need to tell anyone about being 'hairy' .. everyone has hair issues in different degrees, pcos or not. there are women with pubic hair that's jungle-like in quality and they don't warn people .. they just go in and say take it off. that is the waxer's profession, and trust me they've seen it all.

if you want your arms waxed, just ask around where people go for waxing. or look up reviews of places online, etc. i imagine it's more difficult when you're from a smaller town, but i've still found great places out in the suburbs, etc. just hunt around.

i am so not concerned with what people think when i get waxed. if they are unprofessional enough to say something like, wow you have hairy arms you big wilderbeast - then obviously pick up and get someone else to do it. but that's not very likely because as i said, these are professionals who wax things every day. for every you going in there asking for an arm wax, i'm sure there is some dude going in to ask to have his butt waxed. or something. don't place so much importance on what is essentially just, well .. hair. i say, rip it off and don't give it another thought. (for at least a couple weeks)

I've been shaving my arms for 7 years now. It was a very good decision, IMO. I shave them daily, takes like 30 seconds. I dont have a problem with getting razor burn, so I don't even need to use shaving cream. I also shave my hairy hands and knuckles!!

I shave my arms maybe 2 times a year. But I use the clippers that my husband uses to shave his head. I just use it with no guard so i don't get too close, but close enough for me. It is just prickily.

    Hugs!

I shave my arms everyday, I don't like it but I don't like the long hair either. It's just a personal choice I guess but if I had the money I would probably go with the waxing.

Think very carefully before you get your moustache waxed. If there's only a very few hairs that are very, very fine and it's not being stimulated by any currrent hormone imbalance, then waxing may be OK. On the other hand, if you've got a coarse moustache you need to shave more than once a week, then the hair will be more difficult to remove and over time the repeated waxing will distort hair roots and the angles at which the hair grows, making the regrowth much more noticeable. And of course you'll need to let it grow long enough before you can rewax, which will mean going around for quite some time with an obvious moustache while it grows in long enough to wax again. I've had a male-type moustache since I was 14 and find that shaving with an electric razor is the best solution.

I've no idea about eyebrows -- in my mid-teens I used to pluck them for a while, but I haven't done anything to them for decades -- I'm afraid I've got bushy, male-type eyebrows, completely untrimmed.

As far as shaving my moustache is concerned, it only takes seconds in the morning and it's completely smooth. If I'm going out to something really special at night I'll shave before going out, but it's not really necessary. I'll be able to feel it losing its smoothness long before anyone would notice.

although - i would say wax the moustache unless, as joyblack says, it is truly a coarse male type moustache. i have been waxing my upper lip for about 10 years and have never had a problem. i wax it once every couple of weeks and it doesn't grow back weird or anything. i think it all depends on the individual -- if you have a somewhat manageable upper lip i think you could totally wax. try it once and see how you feel.
