Sounds like doctors think that they're the only intelligent people in the world and that us patients can't possibly come up with a right diagnosis since we're not as bright as phycisians are. He thinks that I'm being over dramatic about my symptoms and only gave me a blood test to get me out of the room.
Does anyone know if your glucose levels can be normal with insulin resistance? |
It depends on what you've eaten that day on what your levels are. I would go to an endocrinologist and have him do a glucose tolerance test which takes a few hours. That will tell you how well your body is using the sugar and insulin your body is producing. You might also want to have your thyroid checked.

I was told that by my ex mother in law all the time when I'd miss periods. I'd get my hopes up and then they'd be crushed. The funny thing is, the best doctors I'd found all across the country are Certified Family Nurse Practitioners. Regular docs are so arrogant and superior that it makes me want to do something illegal.
