Default Doc in Knoxville or surrounding area?

I have looked through the list when I found this forum. I have an appt with my internist but not sure he will be sensitive to what I am telling him. I know I have PCOS, my daughter has been diagnosed and my mother had it. In fact she also had MS, diabetes and died from heart failure. All these symptoms put together are beginning to make sense to me and I want to try a natural approach as hormones have made me either as mad as a hatter or wicked as a witch! I found a site from insulitelabs and wondered if anyone had tried that regime? It makes sense to me but it a lot to spend if it doesn't work. I am glad to know that this is not all "in my head" but actually a physical problem with physcological tones.

Welcome neighbor! Where are you in Knoxville?

What kind of doctor are you looking for exactly?

I can recommend a great RE. My RE is Barry W. Donesky, M.D (he is published on PCOS). His phone number is (865) 692-3433. I don't know any doctors in a family practice to recommend.

In Upper East Tennessee, about a hour North of Knoxville (we go there a whole lot), in Johnson City, there is CARS (The Center for Applied Reproductive Sciences) I see Dr. Joseph Kennedy, but Dr. Samuel Thatcher is there as well, along with Dr. Assad. All speicalize in PCOS, and Thatcher is published and speakes at most PCOS conferences. Here is their website, where you will find an abundant amount of info on PCOS. http://www.ivf-et.com/

More specifically, a statement on PCOS and a link to their iLearning center. http://www.ivf-et.com/pcos.html They also have a statment about PCOS on their home page.
