Question Doc Visit Today

I went to the doc's today. My first visit withmy new doctor. She was nice enough. She seemed to listen but something didn't click maybe it was just me who knows. But she did say we would discuss medications after we get my lab results back.

She had an estradiol, sensitive tests done. LH and FSH (I think I have those initials right,CBC, Prolactin, and Thyroid testing done.

So after this all comes back I guess we will discuss what she finds is appropriate. I asked about metformin and antidepressants. I feel like life is a fog since my son was born 2 1/2 yrs ago and I finally just got the nerve to discuss anti depressants. She however wants to see how the labs come back and see if it is more hormonal things that need to be treated otherwise.

Is there any other testing you all would suggest??

By the way just on a smaller note , the avatar is a beautiful bracelet made by a good friend that is teal for PCOS with a ribbon. Isn't it gorgeous?

Testosterone, total and/or free, usually elevated
DHEAS (may be done to rule out a virilizing adrenal tumor in women with rapidly advancing hirsutism), frequently mildly elevated with PCOS
17-ketosteroids (urine metabolites of androgens, used to evaluate adrenal function) elevated or decreased?
Sex hormone binding globulin, may be reduced
Androstenedione, may be elevated
CMP (Comprehensive metabolic panel)
Glucose, fasting or a glucose tolerance, may be elevated
Insulin, often elevated

so after i looked at some of the sites on one of the threads by KAT I realized that these test were not done. should I call back and see if she will order them or wait for these results?
