Default Doctor in Iowa??

Anyone know of a doctor in Iowa that is knowledgeable about treating PCOS? I am tired of being told that we know you have PCOS and your hormones are out of whack but no one will actually test my hormones or discuss treatment. I would like to have children but don't want to even try right now with my body the way it is and the fact that I feel sick everyday. This is horrible disease is running my life and I need some help!

I went to an RE at UIHC in Iowa City. They are very good. They tested my blood for a variety of things, but as you said, they never seem to test my hormone levels. I never understand why they don't. I had my left ovary removed at age 9 and there is a lot of research that suggests that causes low estrogen levels. Why don't they test them? I now live in NY and the doctor here (who is TERRIBLE) is ironically going to test my progesterone on cd21, but failed to ask about the regularity of my cycles (which range from 27-43 days) thus making a 21d progesterone test worthless.

There is also a clinic in Des Moines, but can't speak to that.
