I have been seeing Dr. Cecilia Schmidt-Sarosi for almost 20 years (I continued seeing her when I moved to Virginia for a year). I can not express how amazing she has been to me! Here is her website.

She has a website but I couldn't post the link because I don't have enough posts. But it is ofrm dot com

Just an update, Dr. Stein's care helped to get me pregnant, and he and his staff have been amazingly attentive and helpful!

congratulations chrissie!

I have been TTC for 1.5 years now and have been on Metformin for a year, and completed month 2 of clomid this month with no ovulation. I am tired of my OB/GYN and RE.

I will try and see if I can get an appointment with Dr. Stein. Is he considered a fertility specialist or just a RE?

Any ladies here want to start a PCOS support group in NY? meet up for coffee and chat? I don't really feel comfortable discussing this with people in my life other than my husband and it's awfully lonely.

I'm a 29 year old female living in Manhattan. I'm nice

I'd be up for a PCOS support group in Manhattan. There seems to be a number of us on the boards!

great! Goobear- I'll pm you.

Anyhow- I had an appt with Dr. Stein and he's scheduled me for many tests- at this point it's hopeful in the sense that my two previous doctor's didn't even do that... I'm getting to the point though of not wanting to get my hope too up

Krissy- what specific procedures did Dr. Stein do with you and what do you think it was that worked?

Hi All - I am down to join the support group in Manhattan too. I also have a few recommendations if you prefer a female doctor.
Dr. C. Selick (affiliated with NYU) she is an RE and does regular GYN check up as well as fertility specialist.
If you need a regular endo, i recommend Dr, Gillian Katz (also affiliated with NYU hospital).

alright ladies-

I am eager about starting this meet-up for NYC.

Will you send me a private msg with your emails and I'll create a mailing list with all of you ladies who are interested and we can find a mutually convenient time to meet up?

Default drs katz, stein, selick, khys-jacobs

sassycin,

do yourself see dr. katz?
can you tell me if she is knowlegeable in her field?
i see that she's a regular endo who specializes in pcos. i don't mind that as long as she knows her stuff.

i wanted to make an appt with dr. selick bc she's an RE but she had bad reviews on vitals.com

i also tried making an appt with dr. susan khys-jacobs but she charges 650-800 for her first visit. and her assistant called this reasonable. it sucks that many of these specialists don't accept insurance plans.

for those of you who are interested in dr. daniel stein, read his reviews on vitals.com. and ratemds.com
i was very turned off and opted not to go with him.
