Does anyone in Vancouver have a good endo? (or regular MD, for that matter?) I'm not entirely happy with mine. I feel like I'm always being brushed off, and my thoughts are unimportant.
I have been seeing a really good doctor since I was about sixteen. His name is DR. G.Ryder. He is an MD, but he practices Vega testing and homeopathy. When I first say him I had horrible cystic acne, very bad digestive porblems, PMS, irragular cycles and depresstion..This was all cleared up in about two months of taking homeopathic medicine that he gaive me. DR. Ryder is very warm and truly cares about his patiants. He does not clam to be able to cure PCOS, but he can sure make life A LOT better for women who have it. I now see him maybe twice a year when I'm feeling that something is off. However I would strogly recomend that if you do start to feel that something is "slipping" to see him PRONTO, because last year I kept putting off making an appointment with him..becasue I didn't want to take the bus all the way over to see him!! I fell in to the most serious depresstion of my life ( I came close to suicide) My mom toke me to see him, and with in a WEEK I felt fine...I had no other treatment. with the help of DR. Ryder my skin stays clear, I have regular PMS/cramp free cycles, my digestive problems are somewhat better, and I can keep my depresstion in check. Of course I know that I have to do my part as well..I work out, and follow Weight Watchers for my weight, I still have to shave my legs and pluck my chin everyday, I'm not TTC, but I was in a birth control free relationship for 2.5 years. I've never aked Dr.R. If he can help with TTC so who knows?? Anyways I'll get to the point: He's on the corner of 16th and MacDonald in Vancouver, his number is in the phone book, the visit is covered becasue he is an MD, meds are not. I pay maybe $50-75 each time I see him. He makes living with PCOS ok, and I don't know where I'd be with out him. Give him a try...GOOD LUCK!

Thanks very much. I'll definetly check it out. I'm currently seeing an MD, endocrinologist, and a naturopathic doctor. It would be nice to have an MD that knows the homeopathic stuff and could work with my ND.
Definetly go see him. My 2 main concerns when I started to see him were depression and hair loss. My depression started to get better after my first appointment, and is now totally gone. My hair has recently started growing back as well. It's not as thick as it was originally, but it has made a definite improvement.
Dr. Ryder is great. He tries to use the least meds/supplements possible. (rifle vs. shotgun approach) He's not condesending, like some doctors. And, he's not just out to make a buck. He truly is the best doctor I've seen so far. I highly recommend him. (if that wasn't already obvious!)
I thought that I'd mentioned him to you before....but I guess not!

yes you did hehe
i was just in the middle of trying the naturalpath stuff..
has it helped much cycle wise? what about how you carry your weight? you may not even have those issues i guess
Well, I've been on BCPs for the past 7 years. Dr. Ryder changed my pills though, and the switch was definetly better. I take a lower dose now, and my periods are lighter and less painful.
My weight hasn't changed much, maybe dropped a few pounds. However, weight isn't an issue for me. I've always been average or slightly underweight.
