Ok. I am wondering does anybody else have the problem that you can stick to your low carb diet really well for like two three weeks and then when you fall off the proverbial LC wagon you blow it up big time. This last week i was following my plan great and than something happened and I started eating. Not excusing why i did it, i know why i did it , but it was like after the crisis had passed that i couldnt stop eating stuff with lots a carbs in it. Needless to say i gained back 4.5 lbs since thursday. That really sucks. But does anybody else have that where its like you cant controll the craving for them once you get a little taste. Or is it just me?

i have the exact same problem, infact the main thing which keeps me eating low carb is knowing how difficult it is to get back on the wagon! i've just had 2 weeks of being a carb bandit but i'm resolving to do better as of today. all you can do is restart, the good news is a lot of what i regain turna out to be water and goes again in a few days.

Sugar (which is what a carb is) releases beta-endorphins into your body. When you cut out sugars, your body compensates by opening up more beta-endorphin receivers. Thus, when you go back to sugar (or carbs) you get a bigger beta-endorphin rush, and thus your body wants more.

I had a really hard time doing the low carb. I just couldn't seem to keep it up. A coworker told me about the South Beach Diet so I tried that one. Its so much easier for me now. Although I haven't been fallowing exactly like I should and am not losing weight very fast but I am not gaining weight back. I get to eat carbs but they are the better carbs and trying to only eat wheat starches and staying away from the sugars. I just like my bread too much to give it up completely.

Me too. Exact same issue. When I stick with the exercise, water drinking, eating right way of life I feel so good and clean. Then oops I fall of the wagon and it takes weeks to get back on. My theory is if I fall I have to exercise. Then at least I won't gain. Things happen in life, no avoidng them. Gotta have a back up plan. :0)

Well im glad that im not the only one. Im trying to get back on the wagon but I just feel crapppy. And i was so proud of myself. I think im my own worse enemy. I swear I am. Its feels like instead of only gaining the four pounds ive gained 20. I cant explain it. Like im thinking my pants didnt feel tight before i lost the last bit of weight but they do now. Ok. I gotta stop kicking myself. Just get up and brush my self off and regroup. And start over. Did any one else have the issue where you lost 6-10 lbs and then stopped for no reason. I did good and then i couldnt go anywhere. The scale froze. At least that was my excuse. But thanks for the good INFO.
