Unhappy Does anyone else feel like this??

I'm 18 and diagnosed with PCOS in 06', suffer with pain, discomfort on a daily basis which is why its always on my mind. Life goal is to have children - sounds corny but i actually feel like i was born to be a mum and typically the thing you want the most you cant get. Kids are on my mind all the time, i always have the same dream that i have a baby and then i wake up and its all gone, makes me so upset. Am i just weird or does anyone else feel like this??
My gyno reckons she will be able to help me get pregnant when the time is right but even she admits there's a chance i simply wont be able to.
Sorry if this is a bit of an emotional overload on my first post lol but i dont like to talk to anyone else about this because they dont really get it.

I know how you feel.

I never really even thought about having kids until I was diagnosed. Now I think about it all the time, and it's hard to deal with.

I not only have a lot of depression from PCOS, but I also have anxiety. If not for the weight gain (and having a hard time losing), for the possibility I may not be able to have children, to just not being able to be normal.

I go to a therapist, maybe you should too? It might help.

Just remember, you're not the only one out there. It's still very possible to have kids, and if not, you can adopt. You'll be a mother one day somehow

Totally understand what you're saying. I get depressed thinking about babies too.....

I've dreamt about it too, and it bums you out when you wake up and realize it was a dream. Please hang in there. Get healthy, then hooked up and then see where the baby plan takes you.

This is exactly how I feel. I'm really interested in the possible of freezing some eggs. My thought is that while I'm young and before I have more cysts (mine are growing and multiplying). Any thoughts?

I definitely know how you feel, I was diagnosed yesterday, and my doctor said "One of the issues is fertility.", that upset me, I may be too young to be worrying about such things at the moment, but one of my dreams is to get married someday and start a family, and I now I'm scared that there's the chance that it won't happen! There's a possibility that my mother might have PCOS as well, so I always try to keep in mind that if it's true, then PCOS didn't stop her from having me. Don't lose hope!

xoxo
