I was just wondering if anyone else gets big under the skin type pimples between your thighs? Is this just a lucky me kinda thing or is there some connection with pcos? I seem to get them when I'm not on the pill or controlling pcos with any meds, is why I ask. Thanks!!

I get them. My doctor said it was because of your underwear rubbing against you. I think it is because my thighs rubbing together! I have had them for years, and they are horrible. They hurt and have also left dark scars on my legs. Let me know if you find something to get rid of them!

OMG! My mother, sister and I have that problem too. They hurt. My doc said its adult onset acne. Just another lovely symptom. Ask you doctor for Benzacyclin. Its a cream and it knocks them out in a day. You put it on before bed and by morning, they're dried up. Just don't lance them. They'll scar!
Are you referring to ingrown hairs from shaving? Or are your "under the skin pimples" more like small pus or blood-filled cysts? If it's the latter, then I think you are suffering from a skin disorder common to PCOS. Mine went away when I started a low carb diet.
Oh...I guess I should say what that is. DUH! Sorry.
Hidradentis Suppurtiva is commonly seen in women with PCOS. It's an inflamation of the specialized sweat glands in the arm pit and groin area.
I never got any in my arm pits, but I got lots of them along my bikini line in the groin area. It always seemed to me like the sweat glands there were actually infected. Sometimes mine would fill with pus and sometimes just blood.
As I said before, they went away when I started low carbing, so I think it's related to insulin.
I believe it is related to insulin as well, because I didn't get them until recently when I gained weight due to non-treatment. My sister gets them under her arms. I have only had them on my inner thighs. They're boil-like red pustules. But benzacyclin dries them up
I recently noticed that metformin has completely eliminated this problem for me. I used to have at least one going, usually a few, all of the time. Now, it's been several months.
Good luck to you,
Sheri

omg, I thought I was so alone on this!
I have them under my armpits. They are awful! I know they are related to insulin resistance according to my endocronologist, as well as the skin tags. I have them too, and they sprout up all over now. YUCK!
Supposedly the glucophage is going to help keep them from coming.
