Does anyone else have almost constant lower pelvic cramping?
I have been having this on and off since June. It all started with a yeast infection and I can't get rid of the cramping or the symptoms of the yeast infection either. I have taken Monistat, Difulcan, Terazol 7, Metro-gel (incase it was a bacterial infection) and nothing has helped. Oh yeah, the doctor even put me on boric acid suppositories and I finished them yesterday and had the cramping again before they were even finished.
My doctor seems to think that the cramping is because I haven't started since June but that is a long time to be cramping waiting for your period to come. I was just wondering if any of you are having this problem. I am going to call them Tuesday and DEMAND they do something. I have been there twice since June and have called numerous times only to be given another yeast medication to try. They always have such a long wait before you can get in but you would think after dealing with this for 3 months they would see me without the wait.
yes me!! sorry to hear ur goin thru the same thing. luckily i have a brilliant doctor. i 'think' its due to goin without AF for a while but im not sure. i think thats just what they put it down to. i have a 2wk waiting list in my surgery so i sympathise. hope u get an explanation soon. if u do, please let me kno (alanah_casey@hotmail.com)

If it is too personal to talk about I will understand too
I have had almost constant pain for going on 2 1/2 years now, and no matter what they try and do it just doesn't seem to want to stop. I have been on just about every anti-biotic in Australia that treats yeast infections, even though I haven't had one for over a year now. I have had a laparoscopy to see whether I had endometriosis, and that came back that I didn't, or if I did it was microscopic and in areas the Dr couldn't get to. They even cauterised a nerve under my womb that sends pain signals from that area into the brain, there was only a 60% chance of it working, and of course I was in that 40% that it didn't work at all.
No one knows why I am in pain, I have been to several GP's and 2 gynocologists, 1 endocrynologist, and no luck with any of them. At the moment we are TTC but before then the only solution one of my gyno's could come up with was to take BCP's 'back to 'back' meaning not having a period at all. Well that was fine, I did that, but I never got any relief from the pain.
The only time in the last 2 1/2 years that I haven't been in any pain was at the end of my last cycle. I had about 7 of the most wonderful days because I wasn't in pain, I could do just about anything. Even when AF was here (and normally at that time I am in bed with severe pain) I didn't hurt at all.
My pain is like a dull ache that just won't go away, but at times can be quite vicious and stabbing, and even goes down into my legs at times as well. I live on painkillers which is no way to live!!
If you find out any info on what seems to be causing the problems, can you let us know? My dr's have all just given up!
Oh my gosh Mandi, my legs also hurt from time to time. Your pain sounds so much like mine. I am so sorry you are going through this because it is AWFUL!!! I am at a point that I am scared I have cancer or something because it just won't go away. If I take Tylenol with Codeine in it I get relief only until it wears off. I bought some Motrin from Walmart and it doesn't seem to help any. I am going to get in touch with my doctor on Tuesday. They are probably closed tomorrow since it is Labor Day. If I ever find out what is going on I will be sure to let everyone know. I am sorry to hear the both of you who have answered my post here are having these problems too but it does help me to know I am not alone.
I know what you mean!! I was actually going to post a thread today to see if anyone else had this problem, and if they knew what it was or not.
I can't keep down a job as I am too unreliable as to when I can move or not. It is so life draining really!! But I too am glad to know that I'm not the only one going through this!!
I take a painkiller that is paracetamol and codiene, but it is getting to the stage where they aren't working anymore. Not sure what is next after that, will have to talk to my Dr about it. I am just hoping that I get pg soon, because after I have my kids (hopefully more than 1) I am going to get everything taken out, and then maybe I will have my life back. The only reason why I won't consider this now is my want to have children is so very great that I will put up with this just so we can try.
