DiamondLynn,
I haven't been properly diagnosed. I had an ultrasound that revealed no cysts so my GP refused to do any bloodwork until I reached a "normal" weight. Dropped him and all other GPs about two years ago anyway.
I also suffer from excess hair, thin hair on top, acne, hidradenitis suppurativa, and belly fat even though I have never considered myself an overeater.
Two years ago, I started treating myself naturally with diet and exercise mainly. I also take .5 grams of cinnamon with my dinner.
All of my symptoms have improved immensely and I am very happy.
The only advice I can give you, is that before you look for medical treatment (BCPs, hormone regulators, etc.) you try a lifestyle change, it's so less invasive and also if you read the research papers posted by Kat, you'll see that it is the best way forward. It has worked for me anyway.
