Unhappy Does anyone else have this problem

This is really gross but here goes. I dont have bad acne on my face. But I have it really horrible under my amrs. In my arm pits actually. I have large cystic acne there. It is very painful. If anyone else has this problem. What have they used. I have tried some over the counter acne meds but not working very well.

what are you using to wash under your arms? could you be having a reaction to the perfume in your soap? also, I make sure to use a clean face cloth for every bath/ shower. My kids insist upon leaving their face cloths in there, but I am always worried about bacteria and fungus breeding on it!
There is also a soap called Spectra that is an anti-bacterial soap. I used to have the problem you discribe, and really stuborn odor that I just could not get rid of! Spectra helped with both.
Hope this helps!

How long have you had this? If these are recurruring cysts,if they are sometimes fluid or blood filled, they may be Hidradentitis Suppurativa. This is frequently seen in us Cysters as well as with Insulin Resistance. It is so hard to answer all questions about Hidradenitis because it is not researched and the definitions vary from being a disorder of the sweat gland to being a hormonal condition that affects the skin. The best thing would be to direct you to the top of the page here at Soul Cysters and go to CysterLinks. Scan through until you see the one for the Yahoo group for Hidradenitis. There you can find SSSSOOOOOOO much information. You can also IM me with more questions. Ever since puberty I would get some cycst and boils frequently on my pantyline area as well as my tushie. The last year I started getting them very badly in my armpit and worse on my tushie and finally was diagnosed. 1st Hidradenitis, 2nd Insulin Resistant, 3rd PCOS. All right in a row. I am now on 1000 mg metformin and it helps a bit. You may also want to try Tea tree oil to help. Also hot wet wash cloths on the area. Long term Antibiotics are not the answer most of the time and cause more problems later when you have a real infection and have become resistent to them. But some people find relief in topical antibiotics. Some are now finding Spirolactone to help them even if their blood work comes back in "normal" ranges.
well, I have rambled enough. Let me know if I can help!
