Hey I have no idea if this is PCOS related or not, I am actually pretty sure its not but I wanted to throw it out there anyways to see if anyone else has this problem.
I have really dry skin and heaven knows there are TONS of different types of lotions for skin in general and for specifically dry skin... but I cant use them, basically any of them. when I try using a new lotion I can use it for maybe 2 or 3 days before I start having issues and what happens is the tips of my fingers start to peel and get all gross, its only ever the tips of my fingers though but it seems to do it with almost all the lotions I buy! my friends love me because I buy all these different types of lotions some decent priced and others really expensive but then I have to give them away because my fingers go wierd and the doctor said that its a type of allergic reaction or something... but it happens sometimes when I use lotion that has no scents either! its so frustrating and so far I can only use vaseline lotion (original ONLY but leaves the skin sorta slimmy feeling) or baby lotion... at the moment I smell like a newborn!
does anyone have this issue? has anyone even heard of this issue? or know someone else that has this? cause mostly I get wierd looks and horrified looks if I actually show my finger tips when they are bad lol

I don't have the issue, but maybe you could try a single ingredient product? Like an oil (olive, jojoba, coconut) or shea butter? I've used jojoba and also B&BW makes a pure shea butter that I've picked up for cheap at the outlets...it was great while I was on Accutane and had really sensitive, dry skin. The only downside is, of course, that they're slower to absorb. I try to use them at night instead, and put on these cotton gloves I bought and sleep like that. It holds the moisture in, and I can go all day then without my skin getting too dry. You'd be able to put the vaseline on over the oil or butter, too, if you wanted, to seal it in.
me too - i am fine with a lotion/cream for a few days and then all of a sudden im not. Its really frustrating
i have eczema on my hands. Could you ask your pharmacist/dr to recommend something?? i have e45 cream off my dr, but i am starting to react to that. So yesterday i bough Neutrogena hand cream.
