Default Does anyone get pain like this?

Hi,

I've been diagnosed with PCOS recently and it's a relief in ways to know what has been causing me problems for quite a while.....but I'm so fed up of the pain I'm getting......and I don't see much reference to pain wth PCOS on many sites at all. Is it rare?
My pain in like bad PMS pain/early labour. The thing is I'm totally pain free when I have my periods but the pain starts as soon as my periods stop and continue till the next period or sometimes I"m pain free for the first 14 ish days and then they start. The pain come sin waves like cramps that peak like labour and they last around 20 mins each time. I can get anything from 1 a day to 10 and they occur usually every few hours. My periods are pretty regular although they were quite irregualr in my teens. I changed my diet due to antoher condition I have aroudn 3 years ago and have been taking supplements of vitamins etc since and my periods ahve been regular....I only noticed this lately when re-reading my own diary I keep of my health. So I think my periods have been pretty regular because of a healthy diet but i still have alot of cysts on both ovaries and I'd a baby 16 months ago which I think sparked off the prgoressive symptoms of my PCOS. I'm on buscopan 10-20mg three times daily but I dont' want to take it forever. I'm going dealing with my PCOS naturally if possible but I'd love to know why the pain occurs and how best to deal with it. Anyone any experiecne and suggestions for this pain? When my gynae diagnosed me he asked me all my problems etc and didn't really comment on the pain but knew it was PCOS from all that I told him and from all the cycs on my ovaries we saw when he did the vaginal ultrasound. I probably have this condition 14+ years since my early teens so I'm guessing all the cysts and pain is a sign I have it bad now? my excess hair and weight have progressed since 6 months post partum......it's enough to put me off having anymore kids....but i'm happy with one anyway as it's hard enough to manage one for me anyway with two med conditions now.
Hoping others here understand my pain and may have suggestions to deal with it.
Thanks for reading

Have you talked to your doc about Endometriosis? Or has he said anything about that? I have it, and your condition sounds like it to me! I have pain that comes right after my period allll the way until my period starts again. Sometimes, it goes away for a day or two, but comes back again...I am having a lap done soon to have some or all removed!

I suggest looking it up online and then talking to your doc about it...Good Luck!!
