I have a good friend that had it, was hospitalized, and went blind temporarily while we were in college. She does not have PCOS or any PCOS symptoms and ovulates very regularly, but she is overweight.
I know she is not permitted BCPs or sulfa drugs...and something else I can't remember. She was told to lose weight or it would recur and she did for a while but she is very heavy now and it did not recur since - it's been over 10 years now.
