I bought some slipcovers on ebay for my livingroom furniture. I would really like new furniture, but it isn't in the budget and the stuff I have is about 3 years old.
So, does anyone have slipcovers?? Are they really a nightmare to keep on? Any suggestions. I bought them from surefit.com and they look really nice.

Counting the days until my husband comes home from Afghanistan, December 4th at 8:33pm, but hey who's counting?!
I slipcover most of my furniture. DBF has this heinous vinyl living room furniture, and the stuffing is coming out, and he REFUSES to repair/replace them--plus, we really can't afford good quality furniture. So I sewed slipcovers for them. It's so nice, easy to keep clean and you can just stick them in the wash if they get dirty.
I sewed mine to fit our sofa and recliner, so they fit pretty well. But if you keep yours tucked, they shouldn't fall off. Also you can purchase these special clips on lengths of elastic to secure the slip cover a little better.
My couch came slip covered--that's why I bought it--and the slip covers velcro to the couch--maybe you could attach yours with velcro?

I have a beautiful Sure-fit slipcover on my loveseat that sits on my 3-season porch.
It was an absolute nightmare to put on! Now that it's on, though, it hasn't come off. And I absolutely love the casual slip-covered look!
When the cushions on our couch gave out we bought a non-elastic slipcover from Wal-mart for around $30. The thing moves everytime we sit on it. If DH lays on it to watch TV, I have to take the cover off the next day and put it back on straight.
