I get it on my tummy and the back of my thighs, sometimes my calves. It's been recent, for the past couple of years. I also have hypothyroidism, diabetes, and pcos.
I have a prescription cream. I find that an occasional salt water soak, using sandalwood soap, and not letting stress get to me works well. Since going on Prozac for depression, the psoriasis has not been as bad.

Oh no! That must be really painful. Would it be possible to carry your own soap to work? I'm sure if you research it, you can find a non-toxic low chemical soap for your hands. For example, a company called "Kiss my face" makes this olive oil soap:
AmazonAmazon I'm sure there are other choices out there.

I also have psoriasis, not on hands, but basically all over my body from head to legs. For now I'm concentrating on PCOS. Once I've managed that I'm moving onto psoriasis.

Try a few min in a tanning bed every so often. It works for me!

Default Pityriasis Rosea

Hi I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2006 and have noticed patches of 'dark skin' steadily increasing over the years, never been too concerned about them, until i noticed recently i has them on my inner arm, the original 'small dark patch' which is on my tummy is about 6 x 4 inches now. Anyways it's not psoriasis its something called pityriasis rosea (not contagious, a skin fungus...eww!) Ive been given some anti-fungal shampoo called Ketoconazole and im just to dab it onto clean skin for a few days over a two week period, ive already noticed a difference, the patches seem alot paler (It's strange I almost dont even know my body anymore since I was diagnosed... and personally blame the contraceptive implant partly) hope that helps x

I have severe psoriasis and one thing that worked for me was Vicks.
