Default Does anyone use a vegetable/rice steamer?

I just replaced mine...its bigger and has two baskets. Can anyone share any ideas other then cooking carrots brocolli and cauliflour??

Also...can you or have you ever added chicken breasts in there or have you only cooked fish?

I've cooked a LOT of chicken in my steamer...it's nice and juicy.

In fact, I cook ANYTHING in my steamer...it's very handy.

Thanks Kat...i thought maybe i was crazy cuz i cant find recipes anywhere that says i CAN put chicken in the steamer...but i need a few idiot instructions

Do you put your chicken on the bottom, the top or in the basket? Do you add your seasonings or sauces with the chicken while cooking or afterwards...AND...how long do you cook it?

Also do you add the veggies and cook everything the same amount of time so its all ready at once?

I have been using the Ziploc steamer bags and they are awesome! I did fish in them and it turned out fine. They are also a lot easier because you can just throw them away when you are done with them.

Add whatever seasonings or sauce you want to use to the steamer bag or even just a packet of tin foil.
