Default Does Cervical Mucous Mean your Period is coming?

I havent had a period since about May. I have been following a Lo Carb diet and exercising to lose weight and regulate things. Im noticing increased cervical mucous. I also have a little pelvic pain here lately. Does that mean that my period could be trying to start again?

I have had the same symptoms plus tender breast (no period since May also). I have been putting off taking provera to induce a flo since I have those symptoms. I keep thinking, my period will be here any day now. I went to see my gynie for a pap almost 3 weeks ago and he was floored that I have not induce a flo since then and gave me provera.

Didn't work this time. Guess I should not have let t go so long. Now I am on prometrium. Hope to have a period within 2 weeks.

So, short answer imo is that those symptoms do not mean you will have a period.

oh wishful thinking then. Does it mean the cysts are bursting? That should be a good thing. Well I will keep trying. Thank you for your reply.

Actually, increased cervical fluid and pain can mean you may be ovulating. Which means if you do not concieve, you will start your period in 10 to 15 days. I hope this is the case for you! Good luck.

Then I have been ovulating for 2 months

That is why I was so sure my period was coming, but it NEVER came.

To the op, I should have asked you if you have been feeling like this for some time or if it is just recent. If recent, then give it some time and see what happens, but if it has been some time, like in my case, I would just talk to your Dr and induce af.

thanks, but Im not trying to get pregnant. I have two kids already. Plus hubby had a vasectomy. And these symptoms started recently. When they first diagnosed me with PCOS I was not having any pains or CM. They asked then but I hadnt noticed. It just started here lately. Thats why I was so hopeful that it meant that my period might be coming. i go see an Endo on the 14th so I will speak with him about it if I havent started by then. I really dont want to take Metformin, that is my LAST resort.
