Ok so I went of the pill on Dec6th or 7th or something like that. So I got my peiod about a week later but I dont know which day to count as day 1 (seeing as I am no longer on the pill I am trying to count my cycle so I know when I would get my next one etc) I know I noticed a little tiny bit of blood around friday the 14th. Does that count as day 1? It got heavier the following night...past midnight though. I just remember being at a club and seeing blood on my underwear. So is day 1 the day you start bleeding in general or the day you start bleeding alot. I know it is a stupid question but when I googled it I didnt really get answers, just pages explaining that day 1 is the first day of a period, I know that I just dont know when my first day was lol. On a side note, Im asking this because Im getting some pretty weird cramping at first I thought it was ovulation but then I figured it was too late for that, or maybe it isnt. I dont know! Thanks guys~Im really not a heavy bleeder in general so its kinda hard to figure out

I've always wondered what to count as day 1. My OB told me that the first day I had to wear a tampon or pad should be counted as day 1.

I asked my RN and RE about this, they both said that day one is the first day of -heavy- flow. She even wrote "niagara falls" right next to day one on my instruction sheet.

day one of your cycle can be where it is light but it is bright red. now if it is spotting that isnt day 1.

We've always been told that it was first day of flow... so I suppose that means if you need a pad or tampon, but only if that happens before 6pm, if not you count the next day as 1. At least this is what is considered when taking clomid.
