Question Does eating sugar and carbs.............

make you depressed?? Even if you dont know why you are depressed?
Dont get me wrong , i have a lot of things to be depressed about:::

loss of my baby almost 6 years ago

trying to get pregnant for 5 years

being stuck on my 10 lb weight loss, cant seem to lose right now

hate my job

worried about my 13 yr old daughter

worried that my hubby has alcohol issues

worried about money or lack thereof

my grandmother is dying

wondering if i will ever do anything with my life, for me

wondering if I will have a way to pay for my daughter to go to college

I could go on.... but these are the daily....

I have been seeing a counselor off and on for about 6 years, but havent seen her in almost a year..

And with the anniversary of my baby's death is coming, I might have to. This year the days of the week will align with the dates of the month, as it were 6 years ago, 1997.

Angie

I definately feel better when I don't eat carbs. I slipped this weekend and had some and my mood went right down. I also tend to have more energy for life when I low carb

Screwed up hormones in general can cause depression. In this case, and with many cysters, it's probably your insulin level. If you low carb your body is able to use insulin better and so your hormone levels stay a little more level. My DD has horrible mood swings when she overdoes the carbs, like we all want to run an hide from her, including herself! You might also have your thyroid checked if you curious. It being low can cause depression as well.
